Objectives:
Allows students to understand the importance of Teamwork,
and how individuals can contribute to achieve the desired outcome.
Materials needed:
5 or more soft balls (depends on the level difficulty and number of students), timer
Introduction:
This activity is a simple ball passing game which requires the students’ teamwork to fulfil.
At the end of activity, teachers can ask –
- What did you learn from here?
- What do you think the balls here represent?
- What happened when the balls were added? How do you feel? How did you overcome?
Some rules to follow –
- Students cannot pass the ball to either left or right.
- While passing, the ball cannot be dropped.
- Students must call out the next students’ names before he / she passes the ball over.
- The passing flow requires the same throughout the activity.
Have fun!
All students form into a circle, leaving a space in between
them.
One of the students is appointed as to start the ball
passing, he / she needs to call out the following student’s name and pass to
him / her. The student that received the ball does the same and calls out to
the next student and pass the ball over. This goes on and on, unless the last
student calls out to the student who started the ball and pass back to him.

Advanced
level
Once
the students mastered the basic passing flow, teachers can add in next ball and
let the flow resumes. From here, teachers can test how fast the students can
complete the flow with the number of balls given.
